“ The impact of this dangerous campaign is already visible, a man in Hyderabad refused to get food from a Muslim man.  If this is allowed to go unchecked, it can create serious problems in Indian society.”

The organizer also stated that if Twitter doesn’t act upon its request, they will approach a court of law in India against the micro blogging platform.

SUPPORT KARVAAN

We believe in you. Will you help us remain upfront and be the beacon of free journalism? Unlike many media organizations of repute, we believe that information is a right and cannot be infringed by blocking content using paywalls. We also understand that media in the hands of big business does not remain independent. We took a different approach. We run Karvaan India through public support and social entrepreneurship models to remain what we are and not bow down to pressure.

If you are able to and believe that independent press is vital to democracy, consider supporting us with as low Rs 30 for a story.
