Karvaan India is a cultural and literary centre based in Delhi. The institution was formed with an intent to promote literary and scholarly activities away from traditional elite spaces and bring them closer to people.
As a first experiment, we built first one in Delhi’s, Jamia Nagar, a locality on the banks of river Yamuna and adjacent to Jamia Millia Islmia. In not more than two years, the centre has achieved a distinction of being one of its kind in India.
It has hosted multiple prominent personalities like former foreign minister Salman Khurshid, academic –Dibyesh Anand, journalist Prashant Jha, film maker- Saba Dewan, among several others.
The centre is managed by Karvaan Trust, an organization formed in 2018 to promote cultural and literary activities and make them as catalyst of nation building.
